Personal Interests

Cabinetmaking is one of my favorite interests and following a close second to this hobby is traveling. Additionally, I enjoy playing and watching soccer as well as chess.

Research Interests

Thymine derivatives have many applications in the world. For instance, in medicinal chemistry thymine can be used as an antifungal agent, or be used in solar energy or in plastics as a biopolymer. Following the 12 Principles of Green Chemistry, the goal of my research is the synthesis of thymine derivatives and apply their use to the applications mentioned above.
